Celebrating birthdays has always been my FAVORITE thing to do! I love putting together the perfect gift for their special day. Being that it is Sean’s 21st birthday, I wanted to make sure this one was EXTRA special and meaningful! I had been brainstorming ideas pretty much all summer about what I could do for Sean’s birthday. Well… believe it or not I was on scrolling through Tik Tok one day, and came across a birthday gift that I instantly thought was the perfect idea. The video I had watched was a wife who was celebrating her husbands 28th birthday and had 28 presents for him to open through a punch board. I thought 21 gifts might be hard to get, so I came up with the idea of doing a “12 Days of Birthday” punch board!
The video I saw, the woman had used stickers instead of photos, so I thought adding pictures of Sean and I together would make it more sentimental! So how this works is Sean will basically punch out a cup of his choosing on the board and will find a piece of paper with a destination on it from somewhere Sean and I have traveled together in the 2 years we have been dating! Once he reads the location, he will then find the present that has the matching picture to that location. (Testing his knowledge a little bit 😉
Putting this altogether was SO much fun! Of course I went with the orange and purple color scheme there was no other option. Haha. I started off by printing out 12 of my favorite pictures of Sean and I to use for the presents! I went to Michaels to buy the poster board, wrapping paper and letters. My mother found the orange and purple cups in a variety pack at Sam’s! I can’t even tell you how many places I tried to find orange and purple solo cups, it was a nightmare! I put the shredded paper fillers in all of the cups to make it more challenging to find the paper with the location on it! I found the orange and purple tissue paper at Hobby Lobby for a steal! I went to the dollar store and bought all of the brown bags I could find! Overall the materials I used were very inexpensive!
I thought finding 12 perfect gifts for Sean would be a little difficult but I ended up with so many different ideas for gifts that it was hard to narrow it down! I kept each gift on the cheaper side because 12 gifts will add up, but I ended up finding so many great deals that all of the gifts were totally worth it!
