Gift Guide: 1 Year Olds!

October is by far my favorite month. Football is in full swing, the leaves are changing, the temperature is cooling down, Andrew was born, and of course- October gave me Peyton! Even though her birthday isn’t until the end of the month, I have already started collecting her gifts and wanted to share with you today some great ideas for a 1 year old in your life!

Palm Grip Crayons // First up! I just got these in the mail TODAY! I also bought Peyton a Mickey Mouse coloring book from the Target dollar section. It is my sincere hope that she will not eat these crayons and actually learn to color with them! Wish me luck.

First Builders Big Building Bag // Full disclosure: Peyton has owned these blocks for about 5 months now and has loved them every day. They are recommended for ages 1+ and we got her BFF a set for her first birthday and she loves them too. I think these blocks are always a safe bet for any one year old and are at a surprisingly cheap price!

Graco Verb Stroller // I’ve had my eye on this stroller for a few months now. Don’t get me wrong, I love our Maxi Cosi stroller, especially because it had the bassinet setting when she was little, but now that she is SO much bigger I want the easy one handed fold-up and fold-out. The Maxi Cosi has to be taken apart in two pieces and it just takes up too much time for me right now and I have to have both hands to do it. I am hopeful that this stroller will last a long long time and be easier for when it’s just me and Peyton around town.

My First Minnie Ride On // Rather than Amazon, we bought this Minnie car at Sam’s Club a couple of weeks ago! It quickly became Peyton’s favorite toy. It is so cute and makes like 20 different sounds. She loves them all. I think it was a little cheaper at Sam’s too, so if you have one near you, I’d try that first!

Radio Flyer Stroll ‘N Trike // A little birdie told me that Peyton *MIGHT* be getting this for her birthday from her grandparents and I am SO EXCITED to vamp up our neighborhood walks. I feel like this will keep her busy for a longer period of time rather than just sitting in the stroller. And BONUS- it folds up to be taken with us anywhere we go!

Toddler Playtime Corner Climber // We are currently in the process of starting a playroom for Peyton in our now attic (more on this later). I think when that room is done I will purchase this! Maybe around Christmas time. The playroom is going to be HUGE and this will be a great space filler and a practical gift for a one year old. I have a friend that has this exact one and she says that it keeps her son busy for an hour (which is like a lifetime for a baby).

Splash Pond Water Table // We also have friends who have this! I understand that she probably won’t be able to use it until the Spring but then she will be the perfect height and really into it! Of course, I could always put corn kernels inside instead of water, but that sounds messy. I think this will probably be Peyton’s “big gift” for her birthday!

Well, that’s all for now! I have a birthday party to plan and gifts to buy! PLEASE let me know in the comments if there is something I’m missing that your one year old loves!
